Fraser Fir Christmas Trees
Available the day after Thanksgiving!
*Limited quantities available.
About Fraser Fir: Fraser Fir trees are a fragrant "Southern Balsam" featuring medium length needles, stiff branches and good needle retention, which makes them last longer than a Balsam fir. Celebrate the season with a festive, fresh-cut Christmas tree!
Christmas Tree Care
For maximum beauty and safety, use a tree stand that holds 1 gallon of water and refill daily. A fresh tree containing adequate moisture will NOT support a flame.
Before placing tree in stand, cut at least 1/4" off the base to remove sap and allow absorption of water. Do not allow water level to drop below the trunk bottom or a new sap plug will form.
Place tree away from fireplaces, radiators and other heat sources that could dry out the tree.
Poinsettias
Grown right here at Honeymoon Acres! When fully grown, the leaves start to change to beautiful colors - red, maroon, pink, or white. Available for purchase mid-November up until December 24th (while supplies last).
Interesting Facts
- The leaves are the color of a poinsettia and the flowers are actually the yellow centers!
- The poinsettia plant is native to Mexico.
- The roots of the poinsettia plants are very harmful to pets and animals. Keep the plants away from any critter that could get at them.
Care Tips
- They prefer moderate/bright light.
- Keep soil moderately moist.
- Water thoroughly when soil surface fells dry to the touch.
- Drain excess water in saucer to prevent root rot and protect furniture.
- Moderate temperatures are ideal: 60-70 degrees.
